For those who have been there, war is not about noble things like blood, sweat, and tears… it’s about pain, regret, and RIVERS of human waste. Recent developments among the power elite has changed the military gender equality debate. It is now less an argument over equality and more about effort and determination. Iraq and Afghanistan have ensured that women had the opportunity to experience war in combat roles… but do they really want it? DoD has officially lifted the ban on females in traditionally male roles such as infantry and artillery. The response from women’s GROUPS has been overwhelmingly positive… but the response among women who have actually served IN those roles is decidedly less inspiring.
