During an anti-police protest in New York City, the activists found themselves surrounded by counter protestors. A woman who was criticizing the NYPD was told to “take it out on the government, not the flag” because the activists were planning to set the stars and stripes on fire.
Then an Army veteran stepped up and tried to have a calm, civilized discussion with her, saying that race and division doesn’t have to happen but, as usual, she really wasn’t interested in having a rational conversation about a possible solution.
