So a Vietnamese/Australian man had his Facebook profile taken down three times because his name was deemed to be offensive. Every time he’d put his profile back up, the Facebook police would simply take it down again.
He eventually had to send a copy of his passport to Facebook, proving that the name he was using was his legal name, and not some sort of troll name, or fake name, in which he was trying to be offensive. Have a look:
Mr. Bich eventually was given permission to have a Facebook account after proving that his legal name really is Phuc Dat Bich.
Though we may find this situation funny, Phuc Dat Bich does not find it funny at all. Here’s what he had to say about the situation:
‘I find it highly irritating the fact that nobody seems to believe me when I say that my full legal name is how you see it,’ the post reads.
‘I’ve been accused of using a false and misleading name of which I find very offensive. Is it because I’m Asian? Is it?’
This, my friends is the kind of stuff you just can’t make up.
