The internet is on fire due to the murder of Oregon protester Lavoy Finicum. Six different witnesses are now claiming that Finicum was surrendering, while unarmed and with his hands up, when Federal agents shot him in the face like a dog, killing him instantly.
Brothers Ammon and Ryan Bundy, alleged ringleaders of the protest, were taken into custody and it appears Ammon Bundy has now called for all of the other protesters to ‘go home.’
Here is the wording of Bundy’s letter to his fellow protesters given via a verbal statement by his attorney after he appeared in court to hear his charges.
“To those remaining at the refuge, I love you. Let us take this fight from here. Please stand down. Please stand down. Go home and hug your families. … Please go home.”
The question is, why the sudden change of heart? Bundy seemed intent upon the protest lasting until the two Oregon ranchers who were re-jailed, and upon whose part they were protesting were released from prison. Did seeing his friend get murdered in cold blood and being arrested cause the change of heart? That’s one way for Federal Agents to force a surrender- shooting your friend right in front of you!
Or even worse, was he “strongly coerced” by authorities, in the secret room of the jail house, to issue the statement?
