Well, he tried for a long time, but in the end, he could not beezow doo-doo zopittybop-bop-bop his way out of this one! Or should we say, THESE ones.
America was stunned nearly two years ago when sexual assault allegations against Bill Cosby, often referred to as “America’s Father” due to his role as Cliff Huxtable on his long time television sitcom “The Cosby Show” came out by the bushels. At first, most people thought there might be truth to the allegations, until literally DOZENS of women came out with claims, which made it look as if they were all merely lining up for paychecks. However, they kept coming, and some of them actually seemed legit, and, well, the train has finally reached the station.
One woman, Andrea Constand, who is now 42, claimed that Cosby drug raped her back when she was a college student at Temple University. She came forward with her claim in 2005, stating he slipped pills into her drink during a dinner at his home he’d invited her to when she had worked for him briefuly during her college days, and then “penetrating her with his fingers” while she was slipping in and out of consciousness and was unable to cry or scream out. Cosby was not charged after Costand’s complaints, but this summer, after so many other allegations against Cosby came out, the case was reopened, and with only days set to expire on the statute of limitations for the Constand incident, prosecutes finally decided to charge Cosby with rape.
Cosby posted $1 million bail and is out of jail, but if convinced of this crime, he faces five to ten years in jail, and a $25,000.00 fine.
