5 Of The Coolest Islands On Earth!

Many people fantasize of having their own island. Others, like Johnny Depp and Leonardo Dicaprio are actually fortunate enough to own their own islands, and they do.

In this piece, we’re not taking a look at islands owned by celebrities or the super-rich. We’re just looking at some really cool islands, period.

The island above is the Japanese island of Aogashima. It is located south of the main Japanese islands in the Philippine Sea and has a sub-tropical climate, like the Philippines and Indonesia, but is much cleaner than the scattered islands of those third world nations, as Japan is the most advanced, and arguably most civilized nation in the Pacific rim, hence you get as close to a perfect tropical island experience when visiting Aogashima as one could get, outside of Hawaii.

Above is a ‘fairy pool’ on the Isle of Skye, which is located off of the Western coast of Scotland, another island nation, but in the Atlantic, rather than the Pacific. I don’t think I’d mind one bit getting lost on this island.

Above is a picture of Mamanuca Island in Fiji. I don’t think the water or the sky could get any more blue than this. I think a flight to Fiji may be in my not too far off future after seeing this one.

Okay, as beautiful as that flowing lava is, on Big Island, Hawaii, above, I don’t think I’m going there. Well, at least while the volcanoes are erupting.

bora bora

Above is a view from the Four Seasons Resort on the island of Bora Bora. According to Wikipedia:

“Bora Bora is an island in the Leeward group of the Society Islands of French Polynesia, an overseas collectivity of France in the Pacific Ocean.”

So what do you think? Which Island would you prefer to go to?
