The program has existed since 2008 and the operation started when the global financial meltdown struck. The program costs millions of dollars and has funded about 65 separate studies, with many being in process today.
The Pentagon has admitted they’re concerned with massive and widespread civil unrest in the United States and their answer to this concern is funding Universities (go figure) to research specific areas of our society. It’s called the Minerva Initiative and you may have heard of it. If you have, it’s still going strong. And if you haven’t, you really need to learn more about it. Following are a couple of the studies,
The Cornell study had analyzed Twitter and Facebook posts and conversations so that it could “identify individuals mobilized in a social contagion and when they become mobilized.”
A more recent study by the University of Washington together with the US Army Research Office “seeks to uncover the conditions under which political movements aimed at large-scale political and economic change originate,” along with their “characteristics and consequences” and focuses on “large-scale movements involving more than 1,000 participants in enduring activity.”
So, it basically looks like the DOD is attempting to use this research to plan pre-emptive strikes against Americans who are tired of the current status quo and the ruling elite.
