All four holdouts at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge have surrendered. David Fry was the last one to surrender to the FBI earlier this afternoon. The group informed the FBI on Wednesday that they would surrender on Thursday.
David Fry “I declare war against federal government,” said. “There’s no way to beat this anymore. Liberty or death.”
His three partners, Jeff Banta, 46, of Elko, Nevada; Sean Anderson, 47, and his wife, Sandy, 48, of Riggins, Idaho; were all taken into custody by the FBI earlier Thursday.
Franklin Graham, a Christian evangelist, came in to intervene in the situation after clergy was requested by the holdouts.
