Maria Zakharova, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson, says the facts are in and a Danish newspaper, Klassenkampen, has published a report that was prepared by Rystad Energy, a consulting company.
“Russia is implementing all measures in countering oil smuggling by the ISIL and hopes that other countries will join in cooperating with Moscow,” Zakharova said. “As you know, and we’ve said this constantly, Russia is implementing measures in order to stop and close the paths of oil deliveries by terrorists. We hope for active actual cooperation with other countries towards goals,” she added.
Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that he’d resign if there was confirmation that Turkey was smuggling ISIS oil. Satellite and drone footage shows hundreds of oil tankers moving from ISIS held territory to Turkish refineries and ports, all controlled by the president’s family.
Sounds like Russia has the evidence, do you think Erdogan’s going to resign?
